BROOKLYN-based duo Sister have shared an enchanting new single called ‘Hideaway’.
The band – consisting of Hannah Pruzinsky and Ceci Sturma – have a new EP called ‘Something / Nothing’ slated for release on 10th September.
Opening with a simple guitar melody, the track gradually reveals layer upon layer, drawing us in with strikingly intimate lyrics and gentle vocal harmonies. When the strings and guitars are brought to the forefront though, the track unfolds into a thing of real beauty – the music swells and the emotion heightens in a gorgeous moment of catharsis.
They say “Hideaway is that space where someone can exist wholly. That secret place where you can be without a guise, without fear, you can never reveal too much. It’s a desire for the safety that intimacy holds.”
