LIVERPOOL four-piece SPINN have announced details of their new album ‘Outside of the Blue’ alongside its title track. The album is slated for release on 5th November via Modern Sky UK.
The track acts as a focal point for the whole record – both sonically and thematically. Written in the immediate aftermath of a panic attack, it’s about finding hope and optimism in the darkness. Johnny says “It’s about how appreciative you become of the good things in life when you realise you have them and how you’d do anything for that.”
Brimming with the earworm hooks and bright guitar lines, there’s also signs of their growth as songwriters – their refined, focused sound underpinned by their newfound determination and ambition. A refreshingly upbeat take on mental health, they manage to navigate the sensitive topic with care and nuance.
