SQUID have released their final single ‘Pamphlets’ before upcoming album ‘Bright Green Field’.
Brighton five-piece Squid have followed up on previous singles ‘Narrator’ and ‘Paddling’ with new release ‘Pamphlets’. Squid say ‘Pamphlets’ “is one of our songs that has shape-shifted the most and has always been a staple of our live show when we were able to tour”.
Vocalist Ollie Judge says: “It’s about all the rubbish right-wing propaganda you get through your front door. It imagines a person with that as their only source of news being taken over by these pamphlets.
The eight-minute track brings jarring chords, contrasting sections and freaky vocals together to create a raw and intoxicating masterpiece, a typical example of ‘Squids’ ability to speak through their music.
