EDINBURGH trio swim school have unveiled their eagerly anticipated second EP ‘Duality’.

Recorded with Iain Berryman (Wolf Alice, Beabadoobee) in London, the new EP exhibits the band at their most expansive – spanning genre and lyrical content to create their most accomplished body of work to date.

Whether it’s overwhelming love on the punchy, pop-edged ‘Kill You’, railing against misogyny on the fuzzy rager ‘Delirious’, the self-confidence on the soaring ‘Bored’, the jangly sweet romance of ‘Don’t Leave Me Behind’, or the emphatic closer ‘Over Now’, the trio navigate a wide spectrum of emotion effortlessly.

“I saw the quote “Duality is a situation in which two opposite feelings exist at the same time” and that described the EP perfectly,” notes Alice. “The five songs on the EP channel love and rage. They’re based on experiences that I have gone through at a certain point in my life. The fact that you can feel contrasting feelings at the same time can be confusing and take a toll on you mentally, but I find that writing is the best way to cope with it.”

With hooks galore and a fuzzy kind of nostalgia to the production, there’s so much to love about ‘Duality’. No longer just the new indie kids on the block, it establishes swim school as one of the nation’s most exciting touring artists.

With an extensive touring schedule to come, they play TRNSMT on 7th July.
