TELEGRAM blew critics and fans away with the release of their debut album Operator earlier this year. Not content to simply rest on their laurels, the four-piece have chosen to fire forward with the release of brand new single ‘You Said You Saw Us’.
With all their classic 70s punk rock influences coming to the fore, the track is a rousing statement of intent and could perhaps be classed as one of their finest moments to date. A bold and brash piece of rock and roll, it sees the band in relentless form; imposing percussion, driving guitar riffs and Matt Saunders’ distinctive vocals coming together on its anthemic hook of a chorus, spurred on by the addition of gang-like chanting.
The accompanying video was directed by London artist Beatrix Blaise. Showing the band committing themselves to a typically energetic performance of the song, its black and white visuals are in keeping with their classic punk rock aesthetic.
‘You Said You Saw Us’ comes out on 4th November and follows a short run of dates around the UK. Having enjoyed a memorable year so far, they will end 2016 in style with a handful of shows around the US and Canada.
