LONDON-BASED duo Tempesst have revealed a video for their impressive new track ‘Broke Down Blues’.

Continuing with their good run of form following the release of their two well-received singles ‘Tidal Wave’ and ‘Too Slow’, this latest song is more carefree than its title suggests, benefitting from swaggering rhythms, woozy guitars and a swelling, triumphant chorus.

The cinematic style of the video reflects the soaring nature of the song, with drummer and director Andy Benjanin at the helm. Full of sweeping desert shots, it is the gun-wielding ‘Wild Man’ who takes centre stage; described as ‘vocalist Toma Banjanin’s reckless, jobless, penniless and entirely vicarious version of self’.

As Andy Benjanin explains though, the filming of the video didn’t always run too smoothly: “We had the police called on us three times. Turns out our fake gun looked quite real. I guess someone saw Sam with a balaclava pacing into the petrol station, but somehow didn’t see me with a massive camera on my shoulder, and reported it. Next thing we had three police cars fly in and surround us, it was insane but they saw pretty quickly that we were filming and they were super chill after that.”

The video arrives before the band are due to headline MOTH Club in London on September 29th. Watch it below:
