PRIMED and ready to make their mark on Scotland’s flourishing indie scene, The Noise Club have arrived in bold and emphatic fashion with the release of their debut single ‘Johnstone Boys’.

Rising from the ashes of former local acts such as Sway, Sobriety and Heavy Rapids, the track is a fervent introduction to the new four-piece – one which displays heaps of ambition and a revitalised enthusiasm for their craft.

Bearing the recognisable stamp of renowned duo Jamie Holmes and Johnny Madden, the pair’s robust production style allows the band to flourish – their heady concoction of propulsive rhythms and cathartic singalong choruses proving instantly addictive.

What sets them apart from their peers however is that razor sharp guitar work from Dan Drennan which lends them a real dynamism – he provides the riveting backdrop to frontman Craig Milroy’s compelling lyrical narrative which gives us an introspective insight into his formative years in Johnstone.

Fuelled by a fiery sense of defiance and vital catharsis, it all makes for an enthralling debut. The band play their debut live show at Callum’s Cavern in Paisley this Saturday (6th November) with support from Scunnurt, The Chosen Lonely and a DJ set from The Vegan Leather’s Gianluca Bernacchi.
