AN act that has long been revered by the musos of the world, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart were instrumental in bringing oft overlooked genres such as Shoegaze and C86 style indie back to the forefront thanks to their consistent stream of fantastic output.
Preparing to release a new EP in the coming months, the band have enlisted the help of A Sunny Day In Glasgow’s Jen Goma to turn in a cover of James’ beloved hit ‘Laid’.
Never deviating from the structure of the original in any meaningful way, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart’s reinterpretation hinges on healthy servings of their reverb drenched sound and the stellar vocals of Goma. Distinctly poppy and cheerful, this is sure to delight both fans of the original and their core fanbase.
The band’s upcoming EP Hell will be released on the 13th November 2015 via their own Painbow imprint.
