THE BAND: Arguably the world’s biggest dance act following the release of their 1997 breakthrough record The Fat Of The Land, The Prodigy have been unleashing their own unique brand of sonic carnage upon the world for a multitude of years. Having taken a hiatus from the studio since 2009’s resurgent Invaders Must Die and undertaking a grueling touring schedule; the rave pioneers have returned with the video for ‘Nasty’, the first single from their forthcoming LP.
THE SOUND: Musically, Liam Howlett and his frontmen have picked up exactly where they left off on their last album, refusing to deviate from the sound that they have honed throughout the better part of the past 15 years. Having said that, the track sounds anything but formulaic; featuring the rousing vocals of long time member Keith Flint and driven by exuberant breakbeats, it provides fans with an excellent introduction to the next stage of their historic career.
THE LOWDOWN: ‘Nasty’ will be available from 9th February 2015 on Cooking Vinyl/Take Me To The Hospital, whilst their 6th LP The Day Is My Enemy will follow on the 30th March. Not looking to rest on their laurels, they have also announced a slew of UK tour dates which are as follows:
