RECENTLY signed to the aptly named Disobedient Records, Glasgow punks The Riot Vans are back and in fine form on new single ‘Scary Faces’.
The track marks a significant step up for the band and follows recent singles ‘Scotrail’s Stealing All My Money’ and ‘Memory Lane’.
Packed full of relentless enthusiasm and boundless energy, repetitive gang vocals snarl over infectious guitar lines and driving rhythms as they thrash out all their frustrations in two and half minutes of immediate, confrontational punk rock. Refusing to adhere to a conventional song structure, it’s all about fun and urgency – they’re a band here to play by their own rules.
More than anything though, we can imagine this track inciting utter chaos in one of the city’s many sweaty, basement venues.
