The Sherlocks-30

SHEFFIELD’S young indie rockers The Sherlocks have revealed a video for their striking new single ‘Will You Be There?’

Showing the four-piece perform the song in typically rock’n’roll fashion, the simple black and white visuals allow the focus to remain on the driving rhythms of the track. Wearing their influences proudly on their sleeve, they once again show all the signs of a band who are looking to follow in the footsteps of the great guitar groups to come from the area before them. Full of urgent drumming and those signature powerful guitar riffs, the track bursts to life with an infectious chorus, sounding more confident than ever as they continue to develop their no-frills indie rock sound.
Brandon Cook, the band’s drummer, says of the track; “It’s basically about the notion of when you’re doing well & everybody wants to know you and cling on to you… As opposed to when you’re going through a rough time and most people jump offboard and forget you. Who will be the ones still with you because they truly believe in what you’re doing as much as you? ‘Will You Be There?’ seemed like the title to sum the whole meaning up really.”

With a loyal fanbase steadily growing, The Sherlocks have enjoyed a busy 2016 which included a support slot with The Libertines and appearances at Reading & Leeds.  Currently on tour, they are enjoying their biggest run of UK shows to date with a number of sold out gigs up and down the country, including an appearance at Glasgow’s ABC last weekend.
