THE BAND: Back after bit of a hiatus, The View have been busy working on their fifth studio album alongside producer Albert Hammond Jr. Ropework is due for release early this summer ahead of the band’s performances at the likes of T in the Park festival. The Dundonians are currently on tour, playing shows around the UK throughout April.
THE SOUND: Dropping this one live at their first live show last month, a Barrowlands crowd were treated to this funk-laden, bass-heavy track. With Kyle on main vocals, he possesses a calm, restrained tone to his voice and intricate guitar hooks throughout.
THE VIDEO: The black and white video holds a vintage flare to it with grainy imagery of the band in a studio performing with the full band set-up with a couple of energetic dogs running around for good measure.
THE LOWDOWN: ‘Marriage’ is due for release on 27th April 2015 with the new album Ropewalk is due for release on 8th June 2015.
