The band: The Wytches are a three piece based in Brighton, who are on a path to create the darkest sounding psychedelic music possible. After a bundle of single releases the group are set to release their debut album this coming August.
The sound: ‘The Holy Tightrope’ (listen below) is the B-side to ‘Wire Frame Mattress’, and backs up the A-side track with even more darkness. You find yourself tip-toeing through a landscape of dissonant chords and eerie melodies, ripe for a horror movie sound track. The single will be released on the 7th July.
The lowdown: Their debut album will be called Annabel Dream Reader and will be released on the 25th August. They will be supporting Parquet Courts on their UK tour this June, and will also be playing a host of notable festivals this summer including Glastonbury, End of the Road Festival, and Bestival.
