The band: The Wytches are a three piece, psych leaning band from Peterborough whose popularity has been increasing ever since several successful support slots in 2013. Earlier this year, they released their debut release, which reached number 50 in the UK charts. Several months on from the album’s release, they have announced details of their new single ‘Weights and Ties.’
The sound: The track itself as distinctly less sinister than much of their output, utilising a fairly laidback backline and a meandering guitar which re-surges intermittently throughout its duration. Kristian Bell’s pained vocal delivery is present, keeping it very much in line with their trademark sound.
The lowdown: Their debut Annabel Dream Reader is available now on Heavenly Recordings, with the single set for release on Monday 29th December 2014.
