CURRENTLY on a massive UK tour with Joesef, Theo Bleak (aka Katie Lynch) has shared her debut EP ‘Fragments’.
Featuring previous singles ‘Feels Like Rain’, ‘Paper’ and ‘You’re Not Even Really Here’, the six-track collection is full of depth and nuance – tackling themes such as mental health, poor relationship choices, everyday mundanity and family.
Like all of the tracks we’ve heard before, there’s a warm, inviting feel to the EP – her bittersweet lyrics contrasted by the hazy, alluring quality of her vocals as she reflects on her life and how she relates to the world around her. In an attempt to view her life more objectively, we are offered an exclusive window into her world – and it makes for a deeply moving and nuanced listen.
With a rubbery, nostalgic feel to its instrumentation and sublime production, it’s a gorgeous EP.
