GLASGOW’S Tribal High have admirably stayed in their own lane and made music unlike anything else within the city’s bustling community. Having headlined King Tuts among other various esteemed venues; not to mention turning in an impressive showing at last year’s Tenement Trail, they have returned with the frenetic sound of ‘Scum’.
Endearingly idiosyncratic from the very first moment, ‘Scum’ starts off brooding and unsettling, with allusions towards the more outwardly aggressive side of 90’s alt-rock. Throwing a curveball in the form of eloquently delivered rap verses before the revelation that is it’s extremely memorable chorus; the band’s latest output culminates in a hail of guitar based mayhem that’s sure to translate well into the live arena.
