CAPABLE of producing some of the most immediate, catchy and downright lovable tracks in Glasgow’s thriving scene, Tuff Love have now spread their wings and began to reach an audience.
Having teased their much-anticipated new EP since September after treating us to the gorgeous ‘Duke’, they’ve now further enticed us with ‘Carbon’; a gripping track which certainly rivals anything they’ve produced to date and hints at a more pensive and staid side of the band.
Treading water alongside Warpaint at their most thoughtful and atmospheric, ‘Carbon’ is a fragile yet imposing composition which brims with hypnotic guitars, soaring harmonies and a chorus which will embed itself within the confines of your consciousness for hours after multiple listens.
Displaying that they have no qualms about breaking jangly, guitar pop mould that the casual fan may be hasty to place them in, ‘Carbon’ proves that there is a lot more waiting to be discovered.
Their new EP Dregs will be released on the 6th November 2015 via Lost Map Records and will be celebrated during a launch party at Glasgow’s Hug And Pint alongside Brakatus and Life Model.
