FOLLOWING the release of their new live album Urbs In Horto last week, Twin Peaks have unveiled a brand new video to accompany ‘Wanted You’.

Originally featured on their 2016 album Down In Heaven, the track is a perfect example of the more refined and laid-back sound the band explored throughout their third LP. Favouring loping melodies and bluesy grooves over uninhibited garage rock chaos, ‘Wanted You’ brings their sixties influences to the foreground in a way that is more thoughtful and considered.

Opening with the nonchalant sounds of Cadien Lake James on the verse, the recognisable rougher background vocals of Clay Frankel come in on the chorus to add some of the band’s signature scuzzy appeal; the effective vocal dynamic comes together with their vintage influences to create one of their finest tracks to date.

The accompanying visual matches the surreal quality of the lyrics, interspersing footage of a night out with some mask-wearing individuals larking about.

Urbs In Horto came out last week and was recorded across three nights in the band’s hometown of Chicago. They return to the UK this Summer to play Citadel and Latitude Festivals.
