JUST when you think you know what to expect from VanIves, they go and throw you another curveball. This time it’s in the shape of their brilliant new single ‘Just Draw Daisies’ – a collaborative piece created alongside fellow Glasgow-based musicians Kitti, Russell Stewart and Corto Alto.

Co-produced with Fred Cox (Greentea Peng, Rag N Bone Man, Grace Carter), the pair draw influence from the city’s jazz scene with scintillating results. Fuelled by an infectious spontaneity, ‘Just Draw Daisies’ is a bright, soulful piece of pop music that combines their own exquisite production skills and expressive vocals with celebratory brass-adorned soundscapes, warm keys and soulful vocal accompaniments.

Showcasing a new side to their sound and letting their creativity run free, it’s a fun and revitalising return. They say “‘Just draw Daisies’ reflects on a time we spent working in removals, working as many hours as possible to pay the bills, and coming to the realization that this was living life the wrong way round. The track relays a strong feeling of freedom and energy to do what makes you happy over all else.”
