vehicle for The legendary Strokes frontman to explore his more eccentric and off-kilter musical impulses, Julian Casablancas + The Voidz have returned with their inviting new single ‘Leave It In My Dreams.’

Now billed as simply ‘The Voidz’, the track is led by the New Yorker’s instantly recognisable drawl and falls in line with the explorative manifesto that he’s placed at the heartland of his Cult Records imprint whilst bearing nods to the sound of The Strokes’ Future Present Past EP.

Indicative of a less psych-indebted sound than 2014’s Tyranny, ‘Leave It In My Dreams’ sets the stage for the band’s as yet untitled new LP which is also awaiting a release date.  With the new single making it all too clear that Casablancas’ vitality or vocal talents have by no means diminished with age, it’s an album that’s sure to be hotly anticipated by long-time fans of the enigmatic vocalist and those that are more acquainted with the sound of his new group.
