Fuelled by a desire to connect with listeners on a unique and profound level, we’ve watched them grow from the glitzy art-rock-leaning outfit of their formative years into the powerful music force they are today.
Walt Disco have created a whole unique world around them – one that informs everything from their increasingly grandiose music, their unique styling, cinematic videos, meaningful artwork and theatrical live shows. It’s an endlessly inspiring world we’re set to explore even further on their eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Unlearning’, out on 1st April via Lucky Number.
And along with the announcement, they’ve shared a brand new single called ‘How Cool Are You?’.
Officially our RADAR TRACK OF THE WEEK, it’s a compelling insight into what’s to come from the new record. Striking that intoxicating balance of swagger and flamboyance that the band now excel in, the glam-flavoured track struts through three minutes of pop pomposity, all playful vocal sequences and massive chorus refrains.
Teaming up with Eric Liddle and Kasparas Vidunas of Humble Film Productions for the ice-skating themed video, they said ““This time we wanted to slip into our skates and paint the rink all the colours of the rainbow, flying in the face of the pouting ‘cool crew’ and showing that coolness shouldn’t come at the cost of having fun and accepting yourself!”
A band driven by inclusivity and creativity, their music connects with the mind as much as it does the feet; it’s anthemic, theatrical and emotionally resonant.
