WUNDERHORSE has shared a new single called ‘Leader of the Pack’.
Jacob Slater and his band are fast becoming one of the must-see live acsts of 2022, having already racked up support slots with Sam Fender, Foals and Fontaines D.C in recent weeks/ Meanwhile, his three-night residency at Soho’s Third Man Records sold out almost instantly.
Already a firm live favourite among fans, ‘Leader of the Pack’ signals Slater’s unshakeable ambition. All scuzzy, bluesy guitars and rich, snarling vocals, it’s a formidable offering which is born of betrayal, frustration and a desire to come out on top. It certainly justifies all the hype.
“Leader of the Pack is a song about betrayal,”Jacob says of the track. ‘About not being able to escape the thing that eats away at you, it’s a song written as a means of getting even.”
The song will feature on debut album ‘Cub’, which arrives on 16th September.
