THE WYTCHES have shared a haunting new track known as ‘Hannover Square’.
Produced by vocalist Kristian Bell, the track will be the b-side to their forthcoming single ‘C-Side’ and will feature on a very limited edition run on 7” vinyl.
Less immediate than its accompanying track, ‘Hannover Square’ is a dark piece of psych-rock with layers of instrumentation and eerie refrains coming together to create a dreamy, hypnotic effect. With much anticipation surrounding its release, a statement reads about the upcoming second album: “Influences and inspiration are drawn from unexpected places – reading Tolstoy’s stories of dysfunctional relationships on the tour bus, digging the warm Hammond-and-acoustic tones of Elliot Smith, loads of underground metal band – but mainly it is informed by observing small town English life with new eyes, having traversed the planet on that first wave of success that followed their 2014 debut. It’s not so much the sound of the calm after the storm, but the howling vortex that follows in its wake.” C-Side can be heard on the forthcoming album ‘All Your Happy Life’, which will come out on Friday 30th September on Heavenly Recordings
