THE XX are less than two weeks away from unveiling their highly anticipated third album I See You, and they’ve now shared a new preview track that is sure to crank up expectations even further.

‘Say Something Loving’ is yet another stellar offering from the London-based trio; a shimmering and uplifting composition that gives us a fresh insight into their brighter new perspective. Building on the promise of ‘On Hold’ and ‘I Dare You’, both revealed at the tail end of last year, The xx offer a simple yet stunning take on romance and friendship that indicates a more upbeat direction for the band.

With their vocals linking together in the most divine and intimate fashion, Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft’s signature harmonies lie over sparse guitars and a wonderful production; Jamie xx expertly sampling the Alessi Brothers’ 1978 cut ‘Do You Feel It’ to give the song one of its finest moments.

I See You is due for release on the 13th January and is said to be the band’s most open and expansive record to date. Check out the new track below:
