The band: After defying the odds makers and scooping the Mercury Prize earlier this year, Edinburgh based trio Young Fathers have seen their sales increase 4000% and have entered into the mainstream consciousness.
The sound: Renowned for their uncategorisable and eclectic sound, the band have unveiled their new track ‘Soon Come Soon’. The track itself is a beautiful composition. Driven by a dub influenced beat, it features excellent rapped verses followed by a heartfelt chorus. It is in keeping with the sound that they utilised on the award-winning and critically acclaimed Dead released earlier this year.
