WHILE
we at TTV are in the midst of putting together our year-end lists that compile all of our favourite records and tracks from 2015, it’s been widely acknowledged that Cage The Elephant’s new LP is shaping up to be a late candidate for inclusion.

Set to be released in late December, the band have been coy and exercised a great deal of restraint in regards to airing new music from the upcoming, Dan Auerbach produced record, everything that has surfaced has surely left their ravenous fans titillated and on the edge of their seats for its eventual release.

That’s precisely what they’ve accomplished with ‘Trouble’, a superb track which sees them utilise their aptitude for 60’s era pop in order to create something magnificent.

A track that could’ve been torn from the repertoire of The Move or Small Faces in their prime while maintaining that inviting air of Americana that’s long been a staple of their material, ‘Trouble’ is a tentative and considered lament which sees frontman Brad Schultz expose his soul for the world to see over a foundation of gentile guitar and subtle percussion.

Cage The Elephant’s new LP Tell Me I’m Pretty will be released on the 18th December via Columbia Records.
