SEEMINGLY
attracting scores of fans with every single gig, it’s no exaggeration to say that youthful East Kilbride based five piece The Lapelles are one of the hottest bands in the country right now.

With a punchy, indie rock sound that is capable of attracting musos and casual listeners in equal measure, the band’s  acclaim has risen over the course of the last year thanks to high profile shows and support from the Scottish scenes tastemakers.

Now accruing a considerable amount of hype down south, today sees the band release the new video for their remarkably striking track ‘Grab Life By.’

Armed with the sort of hooks that seem predestined to be passionately bellowed back at them from sweat drenched venues up and down the country, ‘Grab Life By’ is defined by its Nick Valensi inspired riffs and the biting vocals of frontman Gary Watson.

A charming tale of the sort of tempestuous and ill-advised love that’s found in your teens, the track races toward a thrilling and thoroughly rambunctious conclusion that befits its subject matter.

Carrying on the themes of care-free indiscretions and endless possibilities that are conjured up within the track’s lyrics, the track’s Ciaran Lyons directed video sees the band playing against a vibrant pink backdrop amid a constant procession of revellers and scenes that are at times uncomfortably but no less funnily reminiscent of any number of flat parties that you will ave attended in your lifetime.

In addition to the new track, the band have also just the acquisition of a much sought after support slot alongside The Last Shadow Puppets at dates in Liverpool and Newcastle.
