RIDE Ovada Oxford Mark Gardener Andy Bell Loz Colbert Steve Queralt by Andrew Ogilvy Photography OX4

AFTER depriving their fans of new music for 20 years, Ride have blessed us with two new tracks in extremely quick succession.

Where the previously released ‘Charm Assault’ flew in the face of all of the tropes that their audience had came to expect, ‘Home Is A Feeling’ provides all of the warm nostalgic feelings that they might’ve craved.

Reminiscent of the production and instrumentation that can be found on their enduringly brilliant debut, this new offering inundates the listener with the atmospheric and transcendental sounds that made them such a beloved band. While it’s an intriguing juxtaposition when compared to ‘Charm Assault’, there would be no concievable reason why their upcoming new record couldn’t be an album of two halves; one peering toward the future and the other expanding on the groundwork of the past.

Set to perform at The Barrowlands as part of the upcoming BBC 6 Music Festival, check out the track now below:
