Tijuana Bibles

WITH a performance at Tenement Trail just around the corner, Glasgow rockers Tijuana Bibles have unveiled a video for ‘Apogee’, the opening song to last year’s Ghost/Dance/Movement EP.

Sounding just as exhilarating as when we first heard it, the accompanying visuals reflect the track’s driving nature and the band’s rock’n’roll aesthetic, as we are hurtled around a fast-paced ride of life on the road, taking in the band’s many captivating performances on stage and their antics off it. Propelling forwards at breakneck speed, the song hits you square in the face with its pounding drums and huge, dirty guitar riffs as Tony Costello’s bellowing vocals are offset by alluring falsetto harmonies. A dark and twisted affair, it’s a song reminiscent of a heavyweight Queens of the Stone Age that’s made to be played with lots of volume.

As shown in the video, Tijuana Bibles are an unmissable live act and will be bringing their swaggering brand of rock’n’roll to this year’s Tenement Trail with what is sure to be one of the biggest performances of the day. Those looking for some good old fashioned snarling rock need look no further.
