JUST over a month from his debut release, Health and Beauty (aka Glasgow-based artist Calum Stewart) has returned with a stunning second single called ‘I Am Not On The Wall’.
Rising from the ashes of his former group The Ninth Wave, the new project is a chance for the singer-songwriter to explore new sounds and influences – and this latest sees him blossom in his approach.
While his debut ‘In Disarray’ established his direction, ‘I Am Not On The Wall’ sees him grow and develop in his sound – the most striking element being his gorgeous vocals, his falsetto adding a tender emotive quality to the rich and vibrant production. A striking blend of rich post-punk and innovative electronica, it’s a deeply affecting listen.
