AFTER filming a TENEMENT TV session on the last day before lockdown, we caught up with Kieren Webster of WEB as part of our ‘In Isolation With…’ series.
What’s the last thing you said in the band WhatsApp?
“We filmed the video for Haze just before lockdown in Dundee and I left my phone, so I haven’t been on WhatsApp for over a month.”
How do you feel about the current state of the world and the effect it will have on the music industry?
“It’s scary, insecure times for everyone at the moment, at least people are still releasing music for us to listen to during lockdown. Hopefully all the venues will be packed once it’s safe to put on gigs again.”
What 5 bands/artists are on your isolation playlist?
“Radiohead, Lana Del Rey, Idles, Beta Waves, Courtney Barnett.”
When the world gets back to normal what’s the first thing you are going to do?
“We’re gonna get right back to rehearsing and working on new music. And then go for our first post lockdown pint together.”
What’s next for WEB?
“New music and the TTV Discover Tour which has now been rescheduled for November.”
