ALT-J have teased their legion of fans with candid photos from inside London’s Abbey Road Studios.
Recently announced for a litany of festivals across Europe and further afield, this spate of announcements has led many admirers to theorise about the possibility of new material from the group in the near future and these revelatory images are sure to only fuel this speculation.
Taken within the iconic studios that have been the genesis of many classic albums, the Instagram posts show the band recording with the aid of string sections and brass; potentially pointing towards a more ambitious and expansive sound as they move towards their third album.
Concluding the series of photos with a picture of the studio’s door captioned with a simple ‘great day’, it’s becoming abundantly clear that the forward-thinking group are up to something as we speak.
