THE first trailer for the Asif Kapadia directed Amy Winehouse documentary has emerged.
Tentatively titled ‘Amy’, the film will examine both the amazing highs and earth shattering lows of the soul vocalist’s all too short time on earth; as well as providing never before seen footage of her recording process and various interviews.
Charting her career from its humble beginnings, the trailer features a young and ambitious Winehouse declaring that she was spurred on to beginning writing music due to feelings that there were no artists accurately representing her; before going on to prophetically claim that she couldn’t handle the pressures that accompany fame.
‘Amy’ will be unveiled in British cinemas on the 3rd July 2015.
