AFFLICTED with the rare condition of synesthesia, Melissa S Mcracken is an artist who possesses the ability to paint her favourite songs.
Enabling her to to associate music with a myriad of colours and other such phenomena, she has been transferring the work of heralded musicians such as Radiohead, The Smashing Pumpkins, John Lennon and Glass Animals into a whole new medium.
Initially realising that she her brain functioned in a different manner from what is considered the norm at the age of 15, she states that the revelation came when she asked her brother ‘which colour the letter ‘C’ was.
