NOEL GALLAGHER will headline Scone Palace in Perth as part of BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend.

The festival, which will take place around four different locations in the UK, has been billed as the most ambitious music event the BBC has ever staged.

Taking place across Friday 25th May and Saturday 26th May, the Scottish offering will be hosted in Perthshire with Noel Gallagher already confirmed alongside Nigel Kennedy with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

The one-off event, which has been organised to coincide with Glastonbury’s fallow year, will celebrate all of BBC Music’s radio stations with stages being set up all over the UK. Radio 1 will take over Singleton Park in Swansea, Wales with Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift as the headline acts; the Scone Palace event in Perth and War Memorial Park in Coventry will play host to Radio 2 and Radio 3 while BBC 6 Music will head to Belfast where the Titanic Slipways will see gigs by Beck, Courtney Barnett, Manic Street Preachers and Public Service Broadcasting.

175,000 tickets will be made available across the four locations with tickets priced at £18 plus a booking fee. They go on sale on Monday 12th February.
