CAR SEAT HEADREST have sent Scottish fans into overdrive with the announcement that they are playing this year’s Electric Fields.

The band let the cat out of the bag slightly ahead of schedule this afternoon thanks to a UK tour poster that was posted across social media. Taking in London, Manchester, Leeds and End of the Road Festival in Dorset, eagle-eyed fans will also have noticed a scheduled appearance at Electric Fields on 1st September in the midst of the tour.

A huge announcement that had still to be revealed by festival organisers, the news will nevertheless crank up anticipation for Electric Fields even further. Originally beginning as the solo project of singer-songwriter Will Toledo, the band have garnered a significant cult following in recent years thanks to their lo-fi yet hugely imaginative pop-rock creations. It will be the prolific outfit’s first appearance in Scotland’s since last year’s acclaimed gig at Broadcast in Glasgow.

They will join Frightened Rabbit, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Arab Strap on an impressive line-up that is shaping up to be the Scottish festival’s biggest yet. Organisers recently  extended their pay monthly option throughout February so it is still possible to secure your ticket for just £28.50 this week here.
