THE organisers of Edinburgh Hogmanay have officially unveiled the full list of performers who will be bringingin the New Year.

Following the announcement that Rag’N’Bone Man will be the headline act at this year’s Concert in the Gardens, it has now been revealed that he will be joined by fast-rising indie star Declan McKenna and Edinburgh songstress Nina Nesbitt at the flagship event.

With organisers promising spectacular entertainment and a number of surprises throughout the night, other artists set to appear at the world-famous celebrations include eighties chart-toppers The Human League, Niteworks and Scottish Album of the Year winners Sacred Paws who will both take to The Waverley Stage at the street party. Elsewhere Fun Lovin’ Criminals frontman Huey Morgan will headline the Castle Street stage while Barns Courtney and Colonel Mustard & the Dijon 5 will entertain on the East End Stage before a headline performance from trad specialists Treacherous Orchestra.

Kicking off at the earlier time of 7pm for the first time, this year’s celebrations look to be the biggest yet as organisers look to cement its reputation as the best in the world to bring in the New Year.

Charlie Wood, of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the full music line-up for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay which we’re immensely proud of.

“Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is the UK’s, if not the world’s, best new year celebration and this diverse line-up of up and coming talent such as Declan and Barns, current superstars, like Rag’n’Bone Man, and pop legend the Human League really demonstrates that.

“We’re also delighted to have Scottish acts showcased on every stage at Scotland’s New Year festival.”

Meanwhile, Nina Nesbitt discussed her excitement at returning to perform in her home city:  “I can’t wait to return to one of the best New Year celebrations in the world this New Year. It’ll be so nice to be back in my home city bringing in 2018 with my friends and family.”
