GLASGOW’S Riverside Festival have announced new dates for 2021 along with three headliners.

Organisers had initially pushed this year’s festival back to September but with restrictions on large public gatherings still in place due to Covid-19, they have announced that Riverside will make a return next summer instead.

Taking place from Friday 28th May 2021-Sunday 30th May 2021, organisers have confirmed that ‘RF21 – The Return’ will be headlined by Jamie xx, Disclosure and Amelie Lens.

Mark Mackechnie, co-founder of Riverside Festival, said: “We were all devastated that 2020 seems to have been wiped off the map for the festival season,  so we are delighted to announce the next years Riverside Festival will be a 3 day affair with 3 stages per day , running over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Things are really coming together for this and with Jamie xx, Disclosure and Amelie Lens already confirmed with much more to be announced soon. We know the Scottish fans of electronic music are champing at the bit to get back on the dance floor – so are we, so this really is going to be one massive release of energy from performers and the audience alike.

2020 ticket holders have been advised to check their inbox. They added “We are working hard behind the scenes and plan to bring much of this year’s intended lineup along with some tasty new additions. This will be the biggest celebration of life and music that we’ve ever had!”
