AN upcoming feature film which will document the lives of John Lennon and Yoko Ono over the course of their relationship has been announced.

Focusing on the pair’s much mythologised relationship in the years prior to the former Beatle’s untimely death at the hands of Mark David Chapman in 1980, it will look at their time together from a personal perspective while also profiling the anti-war activism which was such an integral part of their lives.
Helmed by Ono, Michael De Luca (The Social Network, Moneyball et al), Anthony McCarten (The Theory OfEverything) and Immersive Pictures’ Josh Bratman, the project remains untitled at present but De Luca has made his intentions for the film clear in the following statement:

“The story will focus on ripe and relevant themes of love, courage and activism in the US – with the intention of inspiring today’s youth to stand up for and have a clear vision for the world they want.”
