AFTER
confirming a headline slot at Coachella this very morning, LCD Soundsystem have now revealed that they’ll tour extensively in support of a brand new album.

Having historically broke up after a landmark show at Madison Square Garden that was captured for prosperity and released as the fantastic live film “Shut Up And Play The Hits’, the band’s figurehead James Murphy has taken to their official website to deliver a lengthy statement which clarifies their position going forward.

Confirming their plans for the year ahead, Murphy stated: “We’re not just playing coachella. we’re playing all over. we’re not just having some reunion tour. we’re releasing a record (sometime this year—still working on it, actually), so this isn’t a victory lap or anything, which wouldn’t be of much interest to us. this is just the bus full of substitute teachers back from their coffee break with new music”.

No further details of when dates will be announced or a released date for the album has been revealed as of yet.
