THE family of the late Syd Barrett are marking what would be the artist’s 70th birthday with the publication of unseen photos and much more throughout the course of 2016.
An icon of the 60’s ever since his stint as Pink Floyd’s frontman during their Piper At The Gates Of Dawn era established him as an undeniable presence before he cemented his legacy with incredible psychedelic solo albums such as 1970’s The Madcap Laughs, the singer tragically died 10 years ago at the relatively young age of 60 after a battle with cancer.
The new site will be unveiled today (Wednesday 6th January) at noon and will feature a whole host of previously unseen photographs spanning from his childhood all the way up to the early 80’s.
