QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE have continued to whip their wide-ranging fanbase into a frenzy with the release of a new teaser video.
After an endless stream of speculation, a succession of cryptic posts on their social media accounts and testimony from a radio DJ that suggested new music would arrive in the next two weeks, the group have finally revealed something concrete in the shape of a new video.
Bizarre, sparse on information and with a Lynchian atmosphere to boot, the new teaser features the word ‘gold’ repeated on an almost perpetual loop whilst synth, violin and the unmistakable sound of a guitar being plugged into an amp can all be prominently heard.
having compared the new record to ‘a panther in the trees leaping out of the darkness’ and claiming it may be their best yet, it is hoped that a formal declaration from Josh Homme and co arrives in the next few days.
