FANS of Rage Against the Machine will be excited to know that Zack de la Rocha has dropped his long awaited debut solo single, ‘Digging for Windows’.
The frontman has been threatening a solo album for a while, ever since his initial departure from the band in 2000 but rumours began swirling again earlier this year when Rage drummer Brad Wilks told Rolling Stone: “I know he’s making a record right now. I have nothing but love and respect for him. I hope he’s doing well and creating the record that I think he’s making.”
While the other members of Rage Against the Machine have been touring the world under the Prophets of Rage moniker (a Rage, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy supergroup), it seems that de la Rocha has been working on his own material, with a full-length project expected to follow ‘Digging for Windows’. Having worked together previously on ‘Run the Jewels 2’, he has joined forces with El-P once again who has produced the track.
