MIKE GARRY and Joe Duddell’s tribute to Tony Wilson of Factory Records is currently atop the vinyl singles chart.
Entitled ‘St Anthony’ An Ode To Anthony H Wilson’, the track has received a great deal of fanfare ever since its official release thanks to its intricate yet emotional lyricism, star studded visuals and Duddell’s brilliant orchestral reworking of New Order’s ‘Your Silent Face’ that serves as the canvas for Garry’s heartfelt couplets.
Debuting ahead of an imposing mix of re-releases and new material, the track takes the top spot ahead of artists such as David Bowie, Elvis Presley, The Strypes, Swim Deep and Goat.
The single is available via Skinny Dog Records alongside a remix from the legendary Andrew Weatherall.
