fontspicTHE LaFontaines have announced details of their debut album Class and a big UK headline tour to mark its release.

Due for release on 8th June 2015 via 889 Records, the band will play shows around Scotland including Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

The band will also play at this year’s T in the Park, performing on the Main Stage.

Produced by Matt O’Grady (You Me At Six/Don Broco), Class looks set to provide the boost into the mainstream. Starting with their debut single release ‘All She Knows’ via LAB Records, the band played their first headline shows in New York in April, supported All Time Low in Glasgow and released their second single, ‘Under The Storm’.

The year culminated in their biggest headline sold out show to date at Glasgow’s ABC in October as well as a tour of the UK and Europe with Watsky.

Talking about the record, frontman Kerr said: “I couldn’t be happier with the album. We’ve spent the past 3 to 4 years leading up to this point. Everything we’ve seen on the road or experienced together as a band has finally made its way onto record. It’s guaranteed to shock those who assume we’re simply just the best live band in Scotland. There’s so much depth to these songs, a load of pain and struggle, but underlying throughout all of the writing, is some real grit and determination.”
