The Temperance Movement will be supporting The Rolling Stones on four dates of their 14 On Fire Tour this summer.

The UK band who released their debut album in September 2013 announced the news today, giving special thanks to their fans:

“Ok people, it’s taken every scrap of self control to keep this quiet over the last few days but we are literally buzzing with excitement to be able to announce that we will be playing 4 European shows over the next month with The Rolling Stones!!!!  Mick Jagger himself has given us his blessing and we will be in Zurich this coming Sunday for the first show. Thank you guys for your unswerving support. This is down to you!!”

All the dates fall in June and will take them to four stops around the European leg of the tour, the first being next Sunday in Zurich, Switzerland.

The band, who were formed in 2011 by Glasgow born vocalist Phil Campbell and guitarist Luke Potashnick, will also play this year’s Download festival on the 13th June and T in the Park on the 12th July.

The Rolling Stones’ 14 On Fire Tour will see the rock legends continue their impressive spate of live performances that saw them play a host of shows in 2013 for their 50th Anniversary, including last year’s Glastonbury Festival.

The Temperance Movement are: Phil Campbell, Luke Potashnick (formerly of Rooster), Paul Sayer, Nick Fyffe (formerly of Jamiroquai) and Damon Wilson.
