SCOTLAND’S leading music convention Wide Days returns this weekend for two days of panel discussions, live showcase gigs and networking events.

Organisers have added a host of new industry speakers to this year’s conference with Tenement TV’s Nadine Walker set to join Vic Galloway, Geoff Ellis, Sony Music’s Julie Weir, Creative Scotland’s Alan Morrison and many more. This year’s panel discussions and debates will cover a whole range of topics such as artist development, funding options, the manipulation of digital services and the changing face of music festivals. You can check out the full schedule here.

Following the conference on Friday, the event will showcase a number of exciting artists throughout the evening with The Vegan Leather, Declan Welsh & the Decadent West, The Ninth Wave, Emme Woods, JR Green, Vistas and The Spook School all confirmed to appear. Taking over Teviot Row House, La Belle Angele and Liquid Rooms, it will be a remarkable opportunity for these emerging artists to showcase their material in front of industry musos and influential audiences. A networking day will follow on Saturday 22nd April.

Taking place across the 21st and 22nd April, you can still purchase Friday delegate passes on the official website. Tickets for the showcase events are free and are available here.
