REVELLERS appear at the QMU in high spirits as they await the streak of Peace’s IN LOVE Tour.

It doesn’t take long for the venue to fill, DRENGE take the stage and immediately reap a warm response. They bring up the heat with hits Dogmeat, Bloodsports and I Wanna Break You In Half proving their live performance is steel-strong.

Before we know it, the support have broken sweat and it’s time for PEACE to spread the love. Hanging their fur coats backstage, the band take the vanity down a notch and deliver Waste of Paint and Follow Baby to the crowd. Taking little time to gather breath they don’t hesitate and throw out Higher Than the Sun, Drain and Float Forever.

“I can’t believe it, this is the second day of the tour and its already the best day. It was just over 20 years today that Nirvana played this same stage! This is definitely one of our favourites,” gushes lead singer Harry Koisser.

They continue the set with Lovesick, Money, Toxic and Sugarstone, a loved-up sense of euphoria filling the air. They finish the set with Wraith and 1998 (Delicious); riding high the band churn out a melodic encore California Daze and Bloodshake.

It may only be the very early stages of Peace’s first headline tour, but they have brought the indie-bravado up to impressive standards tonight that are worthy of a venue upgrade the next time their in town.
