AHEAD of the release of their third album Clear Shot, TOY have shared one of its featured tracks ‘I’m Still Believing’.
Following on from the brooding ‘Fast Silver’ which will also be found on the forthcoming album, ‘I’m Still Believing’ sees the band at their most accessible. The five-piece favour straightforward upbeat pop melodies over their experimental and expansive psychedelic tendencies in this instance; the track is driven by the bright interplay between chiming guitars and glossy synths with Tom Dougall’s vocal delivery sounding as alluring as ever.
‘Clear Shot’ will be the band’s third album and will follow 2013’s much-loved release ‘Join the Dots’. It is described as the band’s ‘most coherent and confident album to date’, with these latest tracks proving that they are still are still constantly evolving in their musicianship. Coming out on Friday 28th October on Heavenly Recordings, TOY will support the release of the album with an accompanying tour which will see them play Glasgow’s King Tuts on 23rd November.
