ANOTHER artist opening her account for 2023 this week is Alex Amor.
Marking her first release since last year’s ‘The Art of Letting Go’ EP, the singer-songwriter has returned with an uplifting new single ‘Super Sonic’.
And while that last EP explored the complexities around letting go – the melancholy, the wistfulness, the emotion, but also the uplifting nature of it – ‘Super Sonic’ finds her in a new chapter, in the throes of a new relationship. Brimming with hope, optimism and romance, it retains the shimmering, dreamy nature of her previous material – with layers of rippling beats and gliding synths. Those refined alternative pop hooks are instantly gratifying, as she provides us with one of her most upbeat and colourful tracks to date.
